Whole Foods Market (Hingham store) will conduct a "5% Day" on Tuesday, July 13th. 5% of the store's net profit that day will be contributed for the benefit of both the Square Market (Wednesdays in Hingham Square) and the popular Saturday market at the Hingham Bathing Beach. Please plan to do some Whole Foods shopping that day and tell your friends!

The Saturday Market will be held from may 8th to November 20th 2010 and the
Wednesday market will be held from June 16th to October 13th. Hope to see you there!

Burton's Grill Event a Big Hit at the Market
The Farmers Market benefitted from another beautiful Saturday this
week. The market featured a guest chef demo by Burton's Grill. Patrons were invited to view a beautiful
display on how the signature Roasted Beet Salad is prepared and then were treated to samples prepared by Denise Baron
and Danny Azarello.
The salad is featured on their menu, so if you missed the market (or if you sampled it
and want more) visit Burton's Grill in the Derby Street Shops. Thanks to both Denise and Danny for a great new idea
on how to use fresh local produce.

Market will be moving to the Hingham Bathing Beach (same place as the Saturday Beach Market, see our map on
the directions page ) for this extended
run.
The Square Market will be
in town 1 more week (Sept. 2nd) in the current location.
The Saturday Beach Market
dates have not changed and it will continue to run at the same time and place until Nov. 21 this
year.

Local artists demonstrate their craft in Hingham Square during
the farmers market on Wednesday, July 22. At the event, there was music by Mark Purcell, a chef demonstration from
the Square Cafe, and a table for children to express themselves artistically with the
painters.
There will be another
Artist in the Square event on August 19.

2009 Season:
Welcome Back! The Hingham Farmers Market 2009 season is in full swing at the Hingham Bathing Beach (Otis St./Route 3A). Hours are 10am – 2pm.
"Get Fresh Twice a Week!" The HFM is proud to announce a second market day in Hingham. Sponsored by the Fruit Center Marketplace, The
Square Market meets every Wednesday from 10am -2pm on lower Main St., Hingham (near the Town Clock) until September
2nd. Many of the same vendors from the Saturday (beach) market are now coming to Hingham's very own street
market.
Patrons of the HFM will be glad to know that all of the vendors from last year will be back, plus several new ones. The 2009 season is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.
Along with fresh, locally grown produce and fruit, the Market features plants, baked goods, fresh eggs, cut flowers, live shellfish, gourmet coffees, granola, pesto and much more.
Among new vendors at the Saturday Market this year are: Nella Pasta (fresh pasta), Nantucket Wild Gourmet & Smokehouse (smoked fish products), Sassy Sauces (dessert sauces), To Dine For (hummus, olives, etc.) and Big Sky Bakery (artisan & Eastern European breads).
Due to the size and growing popularity of the HFM, it has retained Hingham resident William Marshall as Market Manager. Bill will be available at the market every week to coordinate operations and answer questions.
The Hingham Farmers Market is the third oldest farmers’ market in Massachusetts It meets rain or shine from May 23rd until November 21st.
